has held this week a follow-up meeting about PROFETA, an R&D project that will transform an aeronautical component production plant
into an innovative flexible and reconfigurable factory model.
Within the framework of the project, and through the dynamic reconfiguration of the plant, we will develop a new concept of flexible manufacturing so that new production models oriented to the manufacture of short lots can be launched. These models will be validated in a plant dedicated to picking operations and to the manufacturing of large parts for the aeronautical and metalworking sector.
Sofitec is participating in the consortium with the aim of advancing in the implementation of industry 4.0, together with Ontech Security, NoSoloSoftware Network, DGH Robotics, Automation, and Industrial Maintenance and the Technology Center AIMEN.
PROFETA is part of the FEDER Innterconecta 2018 projects, is subsidized by the CDTI and co-financed by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), within the Multiregional Operational Program of Spain 2014-2020, with the objective to enhance research, technological development, and innovation.
Various representatives of Ontech, NoSoloSoftware, DGH, and the Technology Center AIMEN participated at the meeting, as participants in the collaborative development and research project and CDTI.
