Miguel Ángel Márquez, mayor of Arahal (Seville), has visited Sofitec’s facilities today in order to see the ampliation we are currently carrying out and study the possibilities for collaboration in training and employment.
The visit was facilitated by the Foundation for Agri-food Development CAFA, an independent non-profit organization dedicated to teaching, of which the Arahal City Council is a sponsor.
Sofitec has previously collaborated with this center, carrying out training via work placements for students in the “Manufacturing of aerospace elements with composite materials” course, an official program with a certificate of professionalism that includes the completion of 80 hours of work placement in companies in the sector. Our growth prospects and need in the mid-term to corporate new talent make our company especially interesting for this type of initiative.
Likewise, the training the students receive in this program on composite materials is also an opportunity for Sofitec. A boost in technical specialization in a sector where specific profiles are still, in general, scarce.
The meeting held today, together with the mayor of Arahal, was attended by Daniel Navarrete, director of CAFA, and Ana Mª Barrios, Councillor of Finance and Development in Arahal.
